This hotel was built in the 2nd half of the 19th century and is located in the spa district of Luz Saint Sauveur on the road taken by Empress Eugénie, wife of Napoleon III, to get to the thermal baths, just 50 m from the establishment.
In summer, it’s the ideal base for exploring the Néouvielle Nature Reserve or discovering the Pic du Midi de Bigorre at an altitude of 2,877 metres – thrills guaranteed!
In winter, you can ski at Luz Ardiden or Gavarnie, or discover the Grand Tourmalet ski area.
The hotel has 17 rooms on several floors with lift access. They all have private bathrooms with WC, TV, courtesy tray, mini fridge and WIFI.
There is also a lounge with a pool table and a restaurant with a terrace overlooking the Gave de Pau and offering a panoramic view of the valley.
Hervé will be delighted to cook up some wonderful home-cooked dishes using local produce: garbure, Pyrenean trout, AOC “Barèges Gavarnie” mutton stew – you’ll be spoilt for choice!
To get to the restaurant, where breakfast is also served, just cross the road. In winter, you can enjoy crêpes or waffles with a delicious hot chocolate in the cosy lounge with its open fireplace.
