You meet your guide Marc at 9.30am. You’re off for a day’s snowshoeing in a magnificent setting that’s both easy and accessible. You’ll discover the enchantment of the snow carpet that crunches under your snowshoes. You’ll be in the heart of a serene natural environment, tracking animals under the watchful eye of your children.

At lunchtime, you’ll enjoy local produce in the heart of nature, all in an igloo.

Climbing the Pic du Midi

Today, you’ll discover a whole new range of emotions at the Pic du Midi. The visit begins with a sensational aerial journey aboard a cable car. It’s a 15-minute ride, and there are some vertiginous sections with 350 m of emptiness beneath your feet! Once at the summit, you can visit the site, stroll along the terraces, venture out on the vertiginous Ponton in the Sky and admire the view of the Pyrenees. Exceptional!

The Pic du Midi

and its cable car

Access from La Mongie station by cable car – Option to eat on site at the summit. The Pic du Midi offers daytime visits, stargazing evenings and overnight stays at the summit. Mountain biking is also available from the summit in summer.

The Pic du Midi cable car: simple, easy access to the highest peaks!

The Pic du Midi cable car takes passengers on a spectacular journey to the summit, at an altitude of 2,877 metres, where the 1,000 m² of terraces offer a 360° view of the Pyrenees, the great plains of the South West and the foothills of the Massif Central. The view is unique and the panorama exceptional. But the Pic du Midi also boasts a valuable observatory for scientists, and thehighest museum in Europe, which passionately recounts the human epic of the construction of this exceptional site.
