A day skiing in Gavarnie
After breakfast, it’s off to Gavarnie. The kids will love skiing through the tunnels and over the moguls in Kid Park, and following the longest green run in the Pyrenees, while you enjoy a high-quality ski area with outstanding scenery. In this exceptional setting, skiing takes on a whole new dimension, and picnics can be enjoyed overlooking the Brèche de Roland.

Gourmet ride in a snow groomer
The adventure continues when the ski slopes close. The resort offers you the chance to embark on a 1h30 ride in an extraordinary setting . You’ll take a groomer ride up to the top of the resort, where you can savour the colours of the setting sun on the surrounding peaks. This exceptional panorama makes the UNESCO World Heritage listing all the more meaningful. Here you can enjoy a gourmet break (plate of cold meats, wine, etc.) with a view of the Brèche de Roland. There’s also a photo spot to immortalise the moment. The return journey takes a different route.
Back at Patrick’s home, you can enjoy a delicious dinner.

Snowshoeing in the Cirque de Gavarnie
After breakfast, with snowshoes on your feet, you set off across the vast snow-covered expanses of the Cirque de Gavarnie. From the village, signposted footpaths lead to the Cirque hostel and allow you to discover this emblematic site of the Pyrenees. You’ll love the diversity of the scenery and atmosphere on offer. On the way back from your walk, don’t hesitate to stop off in the village. Take time out for a snack in one of the cafés. The view of the cirque from here is splendid.

The Cirque de Gavarnie is the world-famous mountain spot. In winter, the cirque’s reputation is built on the quality and beauty of its icefalls, which can be climbed by beginners and experts alike. The ski area is ideal for family skiing and offers exceptional panoramic views.

Between Barèges and Luz-Saint-Sauveur, Patrick offers 3 pretty guest rooms. The house faces the Pyrenees; from the windows, you can see the Ardiden and below, the Château Sainte Marie. You’ll love the attention to detail in the decor and furnishings, the delicate wooden headboards and the spacious bedrooms, which become family rooms under the timber-framed roof space.
Your host Patrick is first and foremost a farmer and stockbreeder, proud of his origins, and here they show as soon as you walk through the door. At the table, Patrick will introduce you to products from the family farm: crispy grilled chops to enjoy with your fingers, pâtés, sausages and ham to accompany large slices of farmhouse bread.
Your guest room has 3 different bedrooms, a relaxation and reading area with television, parking and a table d’hôtes. Your “Iris” room has a 180cm bed, a mezzanine with two 90cm beds, a shower room and separate toilet.
