An ideal family break from the daily grind! Tio, Tchupi, Nahual and Névé, four Pyrenean llamas, gentle and docile companions to the children, are waiting for you for a short walk along the Hautacam trails. Afterwards, you’ll climb aboard the Mountain Luge for some exhilarating descents and lots of laughs. And to round off the winter pleasures, you can do a bit of skiing on the piste served by the carpet or try Nordic skiing on the marked runs.

Arrive and settle into your hotel in Argelès Gazost. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 1

Llama trekking and thrilling activities

After a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast, you’ll head to the Hautacam resort for a day of fun and recreation! You’ll meet up with the llamas, gentle and docile companions, for a half-day trail ride at a leisurely pace in the fresh air! Along the way, Gilles, your guide, will tell you all about the history of his llamas and the Gave Valley.

If you’re looking for thrills, there’s a choice of mountain sledging, Zippy Bike or Tubby Jump at the Hautacam leisure park! The day ends with dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2

Walk to Hautacam

After breakfast, you’ll leave your hotel for the Hautacam resort. It has all the charms of an accessible family resort, with beautiful panoramic views, plenty of sunshine and safe, fun areas where you can enjoy nature and breathe in the fresh air.

Hautacam resort

More than just a ski resort, Hautacam is a real amusement park in the snow. It’s easy to get to, and offers skiing, Nordic activities and fun attractions.

Whatever the snow conditions, the resort always has something to offer. Hautacam is a firm favourite with local customers, who have made it a favourite day out for the whole family. It also offers visitors to the Gavarnie valleys’ high-altitude resorts the chance to diversify their activities during their skiing holidays.

Mountain sledging: An all-weather sled, with over 700 m of descent on a rail track 1 metre above the ground with an integrated lift.
Can be done alone or in pairs from 7 to 77 years old.
A thrilling or leisurely descent: everyone is in control of their own speed.
Steep switchbacks and breathtaking views over the valley.
Lama trekking: At Hautacam, you can set off on a trek with great adventure companions, the llamas Tio, Tchupi, Nahual and Névé, led by your children (aged 4 and over) on family-friendly itineraries.
