Arrival day

You arrive and settle into your guest house in the heart of a charming little mountain village. You will have dinner and spend your first night there.

Continuation of the stay

Mountain hiking

After breakfast, you’re off for a day of snowshoe hiking or ski touring.

Starting from the village of Gavarnie, your mountain guide will lead you on snowshoes, away from the most popular routes, to some very beautiful, wild and spectacular itineraries. You’ll enjoy a well-deserved picnic with the majestic Cirque de Gavarnie in front of you. The descent into the snowy undergrowth will take place at a leisurely pace, in the hope of spotting isard, roe deer or even capercaillie.
The hike lasts from 9.30am to 5.30pm, with an effective walking time of around 4.5 hours and a climb of 400 metres.

If you choose ski touring, you’ll also be delighted. Your mountain guide will introduce you to this activity on an adapted route (500 to 800 m ascent) in a magnificent setting in Cauterets. It’s the perfect way to get away from it all and combine the pleasures of sliding with those of hiking. You’ll have dinner and then spend your second night in your guest room.
