Continuation of the stay

Family skiing

After breakfast with your family, you can hit the slopes just outside your residence. A day’s skiing at the Grand Tourmalet promises some great adventures. During your children’s 3-hour ski lessons each day, you’ll go from one side of the Col du Tourmalet to the other, taking in the view of the peaks from the Panoramique piste, skiing between the fir trees on the Lienz plateau and the 4 termes sector.

Panoramic views from the Pic du Midi

Access to the Pic du Midi allows you to enjoy the scenery offered by the snow-capped mountains. On a clear day, the terraces of the Pic du Midi reveal more than 300 km of Pyrenean peaks in the distance. It’ll take your breath away!

Evenings out with the family and for two

In the evening, you can get together in your residence. For the children, it’s off to the club to meet up with friends, while for the parents, you can relax in the sauna, hammam or both…

The mountain spirit

The Grand Tourmalet

Le Grand Tourmalet is the largest ski area in the French Pyrenees. On one side, the La Mongie massif, at the foot of the slopes; on the other, the Barèges massif and the atmosphere of an authentic Pyrenean village. With the Pic du Midi in its domain, and its freeride descent, the Grand Tourmalet guarantees great skiing.

In a nutshell

  • 54 runs – 100 km (12 green, 23 blue, 15 red, 4 black)
  • 1 fun area
  • 6 mountain restaurants
  • 1 spa centre
  • The Pic du Midi freeride descent (1,700 m vertical drop)
Pic du Midi

The Pic du Midi

and its cable car

Access from La Mongie station by cable car – Option to eat on site at the summit. The Pic du Midi offers daytime visits, stargazing evenings and overnight stays at the summit. Mountain biking is also available from the summit in summer.

The Pic du Midi cable car: simple, easy access to the highest peaks!

The Pic du Midi cable car takes passengers on a spectacular journey to the summit, at an altitude of 2,877 metres, where the 1,000 m² of terraces offer a 360° view of the Pyrenees, the great plains of the South West and the foothills of the Massif Central. The view is unique and the panorama exceptional.

But the Pic du Midi also boasts a valuable observatory for scientists, and thehighest museum in Europe, which passionately recounts the human epic of the construction of this exceptional site.
