The holiday begins in a setting of majestic peaks and the charm of a typical Pyrenean hilltop village. After a day on the slopes, we leave this jewel of the Pyrenees to discover another on the Spanish side: Les Encantats. You swap your skis for snowshoes and another adventure begins. Crossing cirques and ridges, climbing summits… for two days and a night in a refuge, Patrick will show you the grandiose splendour of Les Encantats.

Arrival day

You arrive in a small, unspoilt and peaceful village. Settle into your charming mountain inn, a veritable balcony overlooking the valley, for dinner and overnight.

Continuation of the holiday

Powder at Peyragudes

After breakfast, you’ll head to the Peyragudes ski resort for a day of skiing. Soak up the fresh air, the good snow and perfect your turns on the slopes. From one valley to the next, the panoramas are superb and the setting idyllic. And if you want to go off the beaten track, head for the Vallée Blanche.

After a great day’s skiing, you’ll return to the comfort and warmth of your hostel and the friendly, family atmosphere of your hosts. Have dinner and spend the night.

Snowshoe trekking in Spain

After breakfast, you will leave your hostel and join your guide for a 2-day snowshoe trek on the Spanish side of the Pyrenees. We’ll start with a transfer to the Val d’Aran in your own vehicles. We’ll then set off above Salardu, possibly using a 4×4 if conditions allow. We’ll climb up to the Tredos baths and then cross the Aigüestortes plateau, where magical scenery awaits us. A meal will be served in the mountains to savour the local flavours. In the afternoon, we’ll continue on our way to the Colomers refuge, at an altitude of 2,200 metres. There will be a short walk at the end of the afternoon, where you will have the opportunity to build an igloo if you are interested.

The day will end with a convivial dinner and an overnight stay at the refuge.

Continuation of the Cirque de Colomers walking tour

After breakfast, you will leave your refuge and continue your tour through the extraordinary landscapes of the Cirque de Colomers. You will return to the valley at Salardu before heading back to France.
