Ice climbing

Crampons, ice axe, harness. In winter, the waterfalls freeze in the ice and become a playground for climbing enthusiasts. The Cirque de Gavarnie, a Unesco World Heritage site, is a well-known spot with an enchanting setting.

Laughing and having fun on the slopes is a tradition in the Hautes-Pyrénées. And in keeping with this tradition, a whole host of unusual winter sports activities are on offer in the ski resorts. Don’t delay in discovering and trying them out!

Snooc: between sledging and ski touring

Climb on short skis fitted with sealskins. At the top, 5 minutes of dismantling / assembly to transform them into a sledge with a small suspended seat for a fun descent 20cm off the ground.

Forward on this big buoy. You slide up and down and then do it again. Laughter and thrills guaranteed just a few centimetres off the ground.

Ice skates

Forward, backward, spinning. Ice skating is great fun. Ideal for testing your balance and getting some great sliding thrills.

The Mountain Luge at Hautacam will delight young and old alike. Everyone on the course can control their own speed, from a leisurely pace for the more contemplative to 50km/h for the more adventurous, always in complete safety.

Small musher

Here’s an experience worthy of the great adventurers. Drive your own dogsled and become a musher for a day. It’s an activity that’s perfect for little ones too.
