8 days / 7 nights

The programme is given as a guide. The order of activities is up to you. For the Via Ferrata, book the time that suits you when you arrive!

Day 1

Arrival at the residence

You will arrive in Cauterets and settle into your holiday residence, located in the centre of Cauterets. During your stay, you will have access to its spa (jacuzzi, sensory corridor, crushed ice fountain, hammam and sauna) and indoor swimming pool.

Day 2

A walk along the waterfalls of Cauterets

It’s off for a day at Lac de Gaube. Access is by gondola and then chairlift. It’s a 10-minute walk to the lake. Situated in the heart of the National Park, it inspired our greatest romantic poets in the last century. You might even catch a glimpse of the Vignemale (3,298m), the highest peak in the French Pyrenees and the birthplace of Pyreneanism. There are plenty of trails for walkers of all abilities, lined with green forests, punctuated by torrents, waterfalls and lakes, and sheltering meadows and elegant isards. All you have to do is choose!

Day 3

Animal encounters and balneotherapy

Today, you’re off to visit the large Parc Animalier des Pyrénées. Set on a hillside, it is home to over 600 animals of 100 different species, living in semi-liberty. You’ll see bears, wolves, marmots, deer, isards, otters, hinds… as well as some of Europe’s most beautiful birds. You can also discover the new species that have arrived: rock wallabies, a pack of dholes and siamangs.

To round off the day, relax in the spa at the Bains du Rocher. Giant chandeliers and damask curtains, jade floors and calade walls, pearly mosaics and glass beads… The outdoor lagoon, full of bubbling games, lets you bask on the rockside in water at 38°C.

Day 4

Nature walks and breathtaking views

On this fourth day, you’ll have effortless access to the Cirque du Lys and its peaks. Thanks to the gondola and chairlift, you’ll be at an altitude of 2,400 metres in just a few minutes. The ride along the ridges is incredible, and a magnificent view of the Pyrenean peaks awaits you! The orientation table will help you identify the mythical peaks of the Pyrenees.

Don’t miss out!

– Admire the 360° panoramic view and use the orientation table to discover the many Pyrenean mountains and valleys: the Pic du Midi, the Vignemale, the Pic du Midi d’Ossau and the Balaïtous.

– Discover the local fauna, such as the friendly marmots on the ridge paths. – Experience the mountains in a different way by opting for a downhill mountain bike ride.

– From the Crêtes du Lys, hike to the superb Lac d’Ilhéou and enjoy a family break in its refuge.

Day 5

Adrenalin on the Via Ferrata

Today, it’s vertical trekking with the Via Ferrata course, accessible to all. The feeling of weightlessness is yours! But don’t worry, you don’t need any special knowledge of climbing techniques. A cable known as a “lifeline” accompanies you at all times and allows you to walk along the wall at all times. So you’re completely safe and self-sufficient. 5 zip lines will take you from one rocky spur to the next.

Days 6 and 7

Fresh air in the beautiful Pyrenees

Enjoy these beautiful days at your own pace: go for a walk on the surrounding trails to explore the Pyrenean landscapes or enjoy a moment of idleness in the heart of nature. For those who prefer to relax in the sun, in the heart of nature… It’s up to you to enjoy the moment to the full.
