Arrival day

You arrive and settle into your hotel room. In the heart of the spa town of Bagnères-de-Bigorre, this residence tells a story that begins as if in a dream, a promise of a journey back in time between the tales and legends of the Pyrenees…

Day 2

Climb the Pic du Midi, take a break for a swim and stroll around Bagnères

After breakfast, you continue your journey… Head to La Mongie, at the foot of the famous Col du Tourmalet, the departure point for the cable car that takes you to the summit of the Pic du Midi. At an altitude of 2877 m, take time to visit the site, stroll along the terraces andadmire the view of the Pyrenees. Exceptional! We recommend arriving at the Pic du Midi in the morning for lunch.

On the way back, take a comforting break in the superb Aquensis spa centre, where baths and a lagoon bubble under a majestic cathedral-like wooden structure, next to an exceptional hammam.

At the end of the day, you can take time to stroll around Bagnères-de-Bigorre, wander through the old town and laze on the terrace overlooking the Coustous.

Day 3

Exploring the discreet Baronnies

After breakfast, you set off for the Baronnies, following small roads winding through hills and valleys with the Pyrenees as a backdrop, passing through small villages, skirting meadows populated by cows and sheep,… Take your adventure further into a mysterious lush forest known as the Little Amazon. A breathtaking walk along a small river in the heart of an enchanted forest awaits you.

The azure-blue facade of a private mansion marks out Aquensis, a thermal spa and architectural gem.

Baths and a lagoon bubble under a majestic cathedral-like wooden frame, next to an exceptional hammam. The 1868 spa in Bagnères-de-Bigorre has been transformed. A new top-of-the-range address for relaxation and well-being. Completely revamped in an art deco style with a touch of modernity, the ceiling mouldings and old mirrors take you back in time to the 1930s, while the large watercolour canvases plunge you into the world of Blanche Odin.

Comprising 23 rooms and 7 suites, all with kitchenettes, the hotel can accommodate 60 guests. Situated on the heights of the town, the rooms offer a breathtaking view over the roofs of the spa town. For a moment of relaxation, the spa has plenty to offer: thermal water pool, bubble beds, ice bath, sauna, hammam… and even a salt grotto, the only one of its kind in the Hautes-Pyrénées, set in an intimate room where the original natural stone has been preserved. For even more relaxation, a large glassed-in palmarium, created from scratch, invites you to relax on a deckchair or rocking chair, reading a book or sipping a hot drink in the tearoom.
