7 days / 6 nightsEnter the living intimacy of these high-altitude pine forests and savour the charm of the Néouvielle Nature Reserve. Like an imposing castle, the Pic du Néouvielle dominates the hanging gardens where nature has combined rocks, plants, animals and natural lakes.
Arrival day
You arrive at the end of the day and settle into your hotel in Barèges.
Day 2
Trek in the Aygues-Cluses valley
You meet your guide early in the morning. You will begin your trek in the enchanting Aygues-Cluses valley. You’ll need to pack a picnic lunch.
Meal and bivouac in tents.

Lake Bastan Hpte_Laurent Gaits

Day 3
Continuation of the itinerary towards Lake Bastan
You continue to the end of the valley, crossing the Hourquette Nère to reach the lake and the Bastan refuge, where you pitch your tent.
Meal at the refuge and bivouac in tents.
Difference in altitude: + 400 m / – 500 m
Day 4
Bivouac in the Part Beilh valley
You continue your itinerary towards Lake Bastanet and bivouac in the Part Beilh valley.
Meals and bivouac in tents (or huts).
Difference in altitude: + 400 m / – 600 m
Day 5
Panoramic views of the Néouvielle peak
A short transfer… then you climb up to La Hourquette, where the panorama of the Néouvielle peak is spectacular. You then descend the Escoubous lakeside valley to reach your starting point and your hotel for the night.
Difference in altitude: + 300 m / – 1100 m

Day 6
Wellness at the Cieléo balneotherapy centre
Leave your hotel after breakfast. Your journey ends with your feet in the water and your head under the stars at Cieléo, your balneotherapy centre. Under a starry canopy, you can enjoy jets, a thermal water pool, geysers, bubbling benches, fun showers and a hammam. Protected by a superb glass dome offering an exceptional view, the jacuzzi offers an exquisite break.
