You arrive and settle into your pretty guest room in a mountain village. For dinner, Patrick will introduce you to products from the family farm.
Family walk with the marmots
After a hearty breakfast, you’ll join Vincent, your guide, and set off on a hike to meet the marmots. During this short walk, you’ll have the chance to observe marmots using a specially adapted spyglass and learn about the secret life of this small animal throughout the year from your guide‘s informed comments. This family hike is suitable for children aged 7 and over.
The walk has an elevation gain of around 150 m and takes 1? hours.
At the end of the day, Patrick will be waiting for you at his house and will have prepared a delicious dinner for you.

Ascent to the summit of the Pic du Midi
After breakfast, head for La Mongie via the legendary Col du Tourmalet. Take the cable car up to the summit of the Pic du Midi. Once you reach the summit, you’ll be treated to an exceptional panorama and a museographical area recounting the history of this exceptional site. We recommend that you arrive at the Pic du Midi in the morning for lunch!
Back at Patrick’s house, you can enjoy a delicious dinner.

You leave your charming guest house after breakfast. But before you leave, explore the great cirques: Gavarnie, Troumouse and Estaubé are just around the corner.

Access from La Mongie station by cable car – Option to eat on site at the summit. The Pic du Midi offers daytime visits, stargazing evenings and overnight stays at the summit. Mountain biking is also available from the summit in summer.

The Pic du Midi cable car: simple, easy access to the highest peaks!
The Pic du Midi cable car takes passengers on a spectacular journey to the summit, at an altitude of 2,877 metres, where the 1,000 m² of terraces offer a 360° view of the Pyrenees, the great plains of the South West and the foothills of the Massif Central. The view is unique and the panorama exceptional.
But the Pic du Midi also boasts a valuable observatory for scientists, and thehighest museum in Europe, which passionately recounts the human epic of the construction of this exceptional site.
Between Barèges and Luz-Saint-Sauveur, Patrick offers 3 pretty guest rooms. The house faces the Pyrenees; from the windows, you can see the Ardiden and below, the Château Sainte Marie. You’ll love the attention to detail in the decor and furnishings, the delicate wooden headboards and the spacious bedrooms, which become family rooms under the timber-framed roof space.
Your host Patrick is first and foremost a farmer and stockbreeder, proud of his origins, and here they show as soon as you walk through the door. At the table, Patrick will introduce you to products from the family farm: crispy grilled chops to enjoy with your fingers, pâtés, sausages and ham to accompany large slices of farmhouse bread.
Your bed and breakfast has 3 different rooms, a relaxation and reading area with television, a car park and a table d’hôtes. Your “Iris” room has a 180cm bed, a mezzanine with two 90cm beds, a shower room and separate toilet.
The estimated budget for this stay is €938 per family.
