You’re in the heart of the city of nature, recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site ! Your base camp is set up opposite the famous Cirque de Gavarnie, in a peaceful spot surrounded by forests, roe deer, hares… Your unusual accommodation, a tipi, lives up to the hype.
You’ll set off along a number of easily accessible, well-maintained paths towards Spain, the Brèche de Roland and the Cirque’s great waterfall.

Family outings and breathtaking views
An easy, pleasant ride on donkey, horseback or on foot takes you from the village to the Cirque de Gavarnie hotel. You’ll be captivated by the bubbling waterfall, the highest in Europe.
From the Port de Boucharo, it’s a 2-hour walk in good boots to the Brèche de Roland refuge. It takes another 1 hour to reach the Brèche, but the view from the refuge is spectacular.
An interpretation trail between the Col des Tentes and the Port de Boucharo takes you towards Spain. It’s a very easy walk on a panoramic path that’s virtually flat. The view of all the peaks and 3000m peaks surrounding the Cirque de Gavarnie is spectacular.

Located 3 km from the village of Gèdre, at an altitude of 1,300 m, this site offers splendid views of the surrounding peaks, including the Cirque de Gavarnie. Children’s area with swings and slides. Garden furniture and stone barbecue.
Your tipi includes a fully-equipped kitchen area (camping gas, fridge, utensils) and a sleeping tipi with two double beds, cushions, undersheets, duvets and heated blankets. Lamp lighting and electrical sockets. Shared outdoor sanitary facilities with shower, WC, water heater and radiator. Drinking water tap nearby. Access on foot via a 200 m path, private parking above.
The estimated budget for this stay is €264 per person.
