Walks to the most beautiful lakes

There are lakes all over the Pyrenees, lined with hooked pines, set in a granite setting or frozen over for much of the year. Some are very famous, such as Gaube and Orédon, while others are more secretive. They are the destination of fabulous hikes and offer an unrivalled setting in which to relax after a walk, contemplating the landscape in the company of solitary anglers who have come to try their hand at rainbow trout.

Rando-Balnéo: the Pyrenean version of hiking

A delicious blend of pure air and thermal water

The Hautes-Pyrénées invite you to enjoy a unique mix of hiking and balneotherapy, blending and complementing each other so that everyone can restore their balance and rhythm, for total well-being guaranteed.

Wild Pyrenees

Here in the Pyrenees, you can enjoy the spectacle of nature that is still very much alive, and walk through veritable sanctuaries such as the Pyrenees National Park or the Gavarnie-Mont Perdu site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They are the refuge ofrare and preservedspecies. You might spot the bearded vulture, the Egyptian vulture or the golden eagle.

Mythical paths

The GR10

This huge hiking trail wanders from peak to valley, crossing the Pyrenees from the ocean to the Mediterranean on the north side. More than just a route, it’s a promise: to encounter the Pyrenees in all their rich diversity.

Thanks to its many access points, the GR10 allows everyone to choose their own itinerary.

The HRP

There are many itineraries in the Pyrenees, but there is one that attracts all the envy, a long thread that every passionate mountaineer fantasises about following once in their life: the HRP.

A mythical route, a fantastic epic, a crossing of the summits, on wild ridges, without bothering about borders, sometimes on the French side, sometimes on the Spanish peaks, but always with your heart beating a little faster.
