When the Romans arrived in Bagnères-de-Bigorre in 28 BC, they discovered the warm waters and quickly exploited this wealth by building thermal baths and developing a town around this natural spring.
Located in the heart of the Pyrenees, at an altitude of 550 metres, the Grands Thermes de Bagnères-de-Bigorre enjoy an exceptional setting, at the foot of the Aspin and Tourmalet passes, as well as the famous Pic du Midi. The thermal water, drawn from a depth of 200 metres via the Reine and Régina boreholes, gushes out naturally at 50°C.
Equipped with modern facilities, the establishment offers spa treatments specialising in rheumatology, psychosomatic disorders and the respiratory tract .
