Barèges, the highest altitude spa resort in France, was built around its naturally hot springs, renowned for their therapeutic benefits. This small mountain village is right in the heart of the Pyrenees National Park, in the Pays Toy valley. A small village in the Hautes-Pyrénées, Barèges is both a spa resort and a winter sports resort in the Tourmalet area. Built around its thermal springs, Barèges occupies an ideal position amongst the region’s emblematic sites such as the Col du Tourmalet and the Pic du Néouvielle.

Nearby, the Pic du Midi offers an exceptional panoramic view of the Pyrenees chain from its terraces, which are accessible by cable car. The Barèges valley is dotted with traditional stone-built villages.

In summer, there are hikes for all levels, mountain lakes to discover and summits toclimb.
