Hourquette de Chermentas – Meet at 8am for a hike to the hourquette de Chermentas. This route in the heart of the Pyrenees National Park uses a variety of progression techniques, making it ideal for learning. Dinner and overnight in a family home in Guchen.

Ascent to the Aiguillette peak
After a good breakfast, you’ll set off for your day’s ski touring. You will take a vehicle to the border tunnel. This is where your hike begins. The day’s objective: the Aiguillettes, a gradual ascent which, once you reach the summit, gives you a glimpse of the Spanish landscape.
Elevation gain: 900 m. Climbing time: around 5 hours
A sporting weekend in a snowy high-mountain environment, with all the risks that entails.
That’s why, to take part in this trip, you need to be sporty (2 to 3 sports sessions a week), know how to ski (comfortable on red runs) and know the basics of avalanche rescue. In other words, you need to know how to use your avalanche transceiver in the various search phases, how to take a sounding and how to shovel effectively (courses are available).

Spend your first night in Saint-Lary, just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre.
Your second night will be spent in a 4-6 person dormitory in the small village of Guchen.
