Passes reserved for cyclists from 9am to 12pm
For 5 days, access roads to the passes will be closed to motorised traffic and reserved entirely for cyclists from 9am to 12pm. Vehicle traffic will be prohibited on both the ascent and descent by a temporary traffic order. However, in exceptional circumstances and for safety reasons, vehicles may be required to use the route (emergency services, organisers, local residents, etc.).
A vehicle filter and cyclist reception area will be set up at the start of each reserved pass.
Free access
Access is free and open to all, with no registration and no fixed start time. Climbs are at the cyclist’s own discretion, at their own pace and without timing. Each cyclist chooses his or her pass(es) and makes the ascent at his or her own pace, without timing or group starts.
From 1 to 5 days
The special feature of this event is that it is organised over 5 consecutive days. Cyclists are free to choose to take part on one or more days.
12 passes reserved
Each day, 2 or 3 passes will be reserved for cyclists in the morning. Each cyclist is free to choose the number of passes they wish to climb. In all, 12 passes and climbs will be reserved for cyclists.
153 km of climbs
The 12 reserved passes represent a potential 153 km of climbing.

A sumptuous first day! Three passes are reserved for cyclists, from 9am to 12pm, on both sides of the mountain: Port de Balès, Col de Peyresourde – Altiport 007, Col de Val Louron – Azet. These are the “classics” of the Tour, and the riders know them by heart.

Today, two passes, two “masters” of the Vallée d’Aure, are reserved for cyclists from 9am to 12pm. First up is the Col du Portet, already a Tour legend in 2018 and 2021. Next up is the Col d’Aspin, where traffic is restricted on both sides and which was the first pass on the first Pyrenean stage of the 2022 Tour.
After an ascent with a balcony overlooking the valleys, you switch to the territory of the Grand Tourmalet, and the Pic du Midi imposes itself on the landscape! You’ll love pedalling up to this giant.

The day’s programme includes nothing less than the final fifty kilometres of the stage between Pau and Luz Ardiden. In 2021, the Col du Tourmalet and the ascent to Luz Ardiden will have seen the riders pass through for a final battle in the mountains.
Emblematic of the Pyrenees and a Tour de France legend, the Tourmalet is the Tour de France’s most climbed pass. Now it’s your turn to take centre stage and savour this exceptional route!

You now switch to very different landscapes in the Vallée des Gaves. The Cambasque climb, a legendary ascent of Cauterets, and Hautacam, scene of the finish of the 18th stage of the 2022 Tour, which sealed Jonas Vingegaard’s overall victory, are reserved for cyclists from 9am to 12pm… The Pyrenees will surprise you with their diversity throughout the day.

We finish on a high note with three cols on a 77-kilometre loop, 60 of which are on reserved roads! On the programme for this dream morning are two lords of the Tour de France: theSoulor and the Aubisque. Not forgetting the rare gem, the Spandelles, which will make its historic debut in the 2022 edition, on stage 18. Three passes that are easily linked by three different valleys, each rivalling the other in grace and elegance, with its landscapes, beautiful curves and superb climbs.
