- Respect the route of the paths, don’t take shortcuts to limit trampling and erosion (especially in sensitive areas).
- Think of others and the serenity of nature. We’re not the only ones who use the paths.
- Let’s get to know the flora and fauna, especially in sensitive areas, so that we can understand why they should be preserved.
- Let’s leave no trace of our passage and no rubbish. Take them with you to the next dustbin.
- Don’t make fires in the countryside (especially in forests or scrubland).
- Don’t damage crops or plantations and don’t disturb domestic animals or herds. Never forget to close fences and gates behind you.
- Keep dogs on a lead. They could cause damage or be the victim of an accident.
- Don’t drink water from streams, as its apparent clarity does not necessarily mean that it is drinkable.
- During the hunting season, check with the local authorities. Some routes can be dangerous.
- Find out about the rules governing access to nature reserves, national parks and listed sites (dogs, the use of noisemakers and plant picking may be prohibited in certain cases).
